The planned material volume to be removed from a blank create the final shape of part is commonly referred as allowance. Determination machining allowance essential and has great impact on productivity. objective present work use case study investigate how prior rough milling operation affects finish machined surface and, after that, this knowledge design methodology for assess subsequent operations based residual stresses. Subsequent were performed integrity across milled slot. This was done by ceramic followed in seven steps. results show that up-, centre down-milling induce different stresses depths.
